The second 100% Pure Winter Games were held in August 2011. The Organising Committee, including CEO Arthur Klap, had to consider the event's leverage opportunities and the event's legacy that would remain. This Case Study outlines that intent and provides four examples of how the Winter Games will continue to benefit New Zealand long after the closing ceremony, with comments from Sir Eion Edgar, Arthur Klap, Snow Sport New Zealand's Adam Dooney and more. It is an example of how events can contribute to the community, sport and host country. To learn more about leverage and legacy, visit www.sparc.org.nz and search leverage and legacy.
