Volunteers are required in Wanaka, Queenstown, Naseby, Dunedin and Methven

Winter Games gives you the opportunity to use your skills, learn some new skills, meet new people and make a difference - while having fun at the same time.

Around 1,000 of the world's elite snow and ice sports men and women will line up in August 2011 to take part in a spectacular competition of winter sport at its best.

The Winter Games will require in excess of 400 volunteers to help the smooth running of the events at five snow venues and two ice stadiums.

We need people for sport related jobs but we also need people to man information desks, transport teams, erect signage and generally help behind the scenes.

It's a great opportunity to be involved in a world-class event, learn some new skills and enjoy the experience of a lifetime!

Food and drinks will be provided on days worked during the Games. We are also able to help with transport up the mountain for snow events.

Sport Related Jobs include:

  • Slippers
  • Course Marshals
  • Start Referees
  • Timing and Results
  • Awards Assistants
  • Signage

Support Jobs include:

  • Drivers
  • Office Administration
  • Registration and Accreditation
  • Ticketing
  • Information
  • Media Office
